Powering a GPU

Hi guys,

Can I assume that the PSU 8 pin that spilts to an 8 & 6 pin are designed to run GPPU's?

I only ask as the PSU 8 pin end has a pin missing on both cables.

Cheers...

edit, running 2 cards.

You mean the 8 pin cable that splits to a 6+2? As 8 can't split to an 8+6, that would be a 14pin cable ^_^

If it does split to 6+2 then yes this is for the GPU and don't worry about a pin missing, one side will total 8 and the other 7 as 2 of the cables go in to 1 pin

i think he meant the 8 pin splits from an 8 pin into a 6 :P (6+2)

Which PSU are you referring to? We can maybe help you a bit further.
