When i have measured the other rigs,i will post it.

The kw/h-meter is free of use from the local electric-company.

This is measured from A/C wall-socket.

I've been contemplating a folding rig, but can't reallly afford £200 in electricity each year to keep it running. I don't suppose low powered folding rigs are of much use?

Any help is good for the cause

low or high ppd.

What is best in terms of ppd vs power usage cpu or gpu? Do you have any links to building a pure folding rig? The ones I've seen are monsterous, I was thinking of something a little more modest.

Cpu folding is best, and gives the best ppd/cost/power.

6 core i7-970 @ 4.0-4.4ghz is the best, but also very expensive. For the cpu price alone you could get an i7-2600k AND a decent mobo like asus p67 sabertooth.

A good heatsink like noctua nh-d14 is a must.If you want to fold on gpu,gtx460 has the best ppd/cost/power.A decent case like R3 or RV02,for good aircooling.

Otherwise there is no real guideline for building a folding-rig.

Bulldozer is to be released within a month, and prices on SB mobo`s and cpu`s will drop after.
