Powercolor R9 295X2 Devil 13 Preview

I've remained quiet so far but I do believe this fat card will surprise all, you only have to look at the amount of workmanship and effort that's gone into it.

It is a huge dam sexy beastly looking thing. Once watching Tom's video again, the mod itch to re-color the thing is hitting me. It looks extremely well made. Not that I can paint like Hanoverfist, but would love to give it a try.

It would be nice if they did a version with a pre fitted waterblock, with all those power connectors you could put some real volts through it.

anyone care to guess the price tho??

i bet tom is happy he got that A/C fitted before running this beast

You can buy it on Overclockers for £1139. Only ~£200 more than the standard one.

This should be faster as it is two full fat 290 chips. It'll be noisy and hot though. Come on powercolor where is your sufficiently cooled AIO version:confused:.

It is faster than the reference 295x2 but it also uses more power, runs hotter, louder and unfortunately overclocking is gimped due to the heat. IIRC temps are around 85-90*c on full load, but that isn't bad at all considering it is a dual card with two full fat Hawaii cores.

The 4x8pins gives it the full amount of power to each core, unlike the reference 295x2 where the two cores both share the power from 2x8pins.

OwO that 32-pin powered beast! I don't care how air cooling works on that thing but imagine getting it waterblocked, and getting it in a custom loop cooled by a 480mm rad... Overclocking would be heavenly

yup it does. The whole card to me looks ugly and amature, and the side sticker "devil" looks like it was made in paint

Trust me if its anything like the Devil 7870 I worked with in the past it looks better in the flesh and the build quality really is something special ^_^.

haha, glad to know my tastes arent Off.

oh well, hopefully it performs well, I doubt I will be buying one though.

Another thing, why is it that I feel advertisements for tech is moving more towards advertisements targeted at kids, even that designs of the hardware itself. Still laughing about that iron man vid by MSI

This isn't the first Powercolor dual GPU with proper cores on it. They made a 7990 (more like a 7970x2 than an actual 7990) Devil and I think it looks fiiine.

I was actually a fan of the devil version with the 2 7970. It was actually quite nice. Not to mention that fact that I could actually OC the damn thing, unlike my reference 7990.

Looks better to me when its white :) Accidently covered the sides with white too and delated .psd :(
