Power down CAT 6 Cable

I have googled POE and it seems to be anywhere from 44v to 57v can anyone confirm this?

i dont want to use POE but i do want to put 12v DC threw the cat 6 cable from an LED Driver to the LED strip that i want to place on the back of two monitors and a TV. my thoughts are if the cable can handle the 12v i can use the RJ45 connectors so i can still remove the monitors and TV off the wall if i needed to for any reason without taking the LEDs off or having to a long cable hang down

EDIT: i forgot to add that the cable will only be used for the LED lights so could use all 8 cores for power (4 for + and 4 for -)

That's what it can go up to, yes, but most hardware runs at 12v on PoE. I'd assume you mean for the for the LEDs after the transformer?

yes leds after the transformer so it would be 240v from the light switch to transformer, transformer to rj45 plugs then from the rj45 plugs to the led strips
