please

Man, why do I always find these threads late ? The 1st 2 Fridays are good, havn't watched the 3rd as I've heard bad things

Don't be a menace is awesome!!! The break dancing grannies, and the bedtime story he reads to his dad (who is actually younger than him)! :rotfl:

I am terrible at remembering films I have/havn't seen, sometimes I can forget a film and watch it again like a brand new movie :p , Ones mentioned I like:

*American History X,

*Not another teen movie,

*Butterfly Effect - really well done film,

*Meet the Parents (not fockers),

*Texas Chainsaw (original),

*Mad Max 2,

*Full Metal Jacket, (Funny as hell)

*Saving Private Ryan, (and while on WW2 - Band of Brothers)

*Onk Bak, (nutz!)

*The Green mile, (it's ok),

*X-men series,

*Reservoir Dogs,

*And all the Adam Sandler films!

I borrowed Sin Cities off my mate for months but never watched it :(

Have you guys heard of a film called 'Appleseed'? It's the most advanced CGI I've ever seen! Seriously look it up...

First off, we've got a thread full of mostly geeks (and don't you deny it :nono:) and nobody has said The Matrix .

Jackie Brown, Didn't think much of it.

Full Metal Jacket, Yep, you'll love it long time ;)

Saving Private Ryan - one of the best films of all time, although imo Band of Brothers is better.

The Last Samurai (minus tom cruise) Havent seen it

Man On Fire - as above

The Boondock Saints - ""

Onk Bak (for the martial arts fans) - Excellent, Tony Jaa rocks :D

Falling Down - haven't seen it

Leon - Excellent film, strange idea for a script, but it really is excellent :)

The Pianist - haven't seen it

The Shawshank Redemption - excellent

Obrother Where Art Thou? - erm? :o

Troy - If Pitt could learn his lines i'd rate this higher.

Fearless - haven't seen it

The Green Mile - excellent

Not in any particular order...

*The Crow - Haven't seen it, but Brandon Lee (Bruce Lee's son) was killed in the making of it :(.

*Four Rooms (Tim Roth), in fact all of Mr Tarantino's movies (some of which have been said already so I won't repeat) - I didn't even know Four Rooms was released for public viewing?

*Schindlers List - Good, but very touching.

*The Ring - Get the original not the Hollywood remake

*The Exorcist - Not for the weak stomached!

*Gallipoli - Excellent film :)

Just a couple for the list...

Pulp fiction if it isn't on the list.

Hackers - Quite good, "Voodoo People whoodoo what you don't dare do people" ;)

Godfather (2 is best but they're a must watch) - Yes, an excellent film, you need to watch all three though.

The Usual Suspects - Another excellent film :)

I'm sure there's loads more - Of course :p

And yeah^ Sin City is good

sleepers is great, if not slightly horrible - did you watch it the other night? its a good film, but not one for the family night in :).

usual suspects, people keep telling me to see, i really should - yes, you should :p

ive hard of hackers..i dont recall it tho - Halle Berry and some other people ;)

Some other films that need to be watched,

Sergio Leone's Dollars Trilogy, probably the best Trilogy ever. The first three Star Wars Films are also excellent. the latter three aren't so good. The Die Hard Trilogy is also excellent :), and as im on Trilogies' Indiana Jones is also a must see, as is Lord of The Rings :).

PV said Gallipoli, another good war film (WW2 mind) is The Longest Day, Zulu's also good (but that's Boer (I think) rather than WW1 of Gallipoli).

A Bridge too Far is also good, as is Bridge Over the River Kwai another must see is The Great Escape. Dirty War, Kelly's Heroes, The Eagle has Landed and The Dirty Douzen are less serious but are also very good.

paigesmummy said Red Dragon, imo Manhunter is better, and Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal are postrequisite ;).

Onto Martial Arts, yes Ong Bak is a must see, as is House of Flying Daggers and Hero. The daddy of them all Enter the Dragon, cannot be missed :). There are also some other good Bruce Lee films, but ETD is the best ;). Kill Bill V1 is also worth a mention, V2 is terrible though :(.

Terminator's 1 & 2 are excellent, 3 shouldn't have been let out of the studio. :)

'Navarone' is an awesome movie :worship: And I'm glad you liked Gallipoli Phnom, it was an awesome Australian made movie before our film industry went pear shaped. Although, Breaker Morrant was quite good too...

* Where eagles dare - Richard Burton FTW!!!

* Papillon - Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman

* Evil under the sun and Murder on the Orient Express - Agathie Christie, queen of the whodunnits imho

* Enter the dragon - Bruce Lee

* The Fisher King and Good Morning Vietnam - Robin Williams

* Con Air - Nicholas Cage

* The Rock - Shaun Connery

* Highlander 1 & 2 - Christopher Lambert/ Shaun Connery

A couple more for the list :)

Awesome film

Can't miss out ol' John Wayne:

She wore a Yellow ribbon

The Alamo

umm...can't remember any more they're the one's I've watched most

Also a fistful of Dollars, A few dollars more, dirty Harry

The dirty Dozen?? :D
