Possible Blu-ray title/volume key exploit *maybe* found on PS3

Even still, if you could DL them youd have to find a way to get them on your PS3 without having to DL them straight to the HD from a Sony site. Most ppl would rather pay for the game instead of having to go through all that trouble.

From what's been said in this tread and previous experiences. I can't see a point in Blue-Ray as a stand alone medium, not for games anyway. They,re not even filling DVD to capacity yet. I've just purchased the budget version of Far Cry (my original disk cracked) and I was surprised to find that they,ve crammed the 32bit version, the 64bit versions (ecu + the US UK upgrades), all the patches, over half a dozen PDF manuals and loads of other extras, all onto the one disc.

So we're dealing with capacity rather than functionality again (just like the 5tb hard drive.)

Eh i could see a use for Blu-Ray and DVD9s for great RPGs. Like if FFVII was redone for PS3 i would like them to make it so that every piece of hardware is stressed for graphics. Man that would be a killer game. Other than that, who cares lol.

Not really that hard. Can't the PS3 run Linux? Through that, I'm sure there'd be a way to connect to your computer. There are ways to download images, put them on a USB hard drive and play them on your PS2. Adding Linux just makes it easier?

Most regular ppl not PC oriented wouldnt go through the trouble to do that. You forget, there still are alot of honest ppl out there, which makes these companies actualy get money.

Most people are honest. I could easily hack my PS2 games but I still fork over $$ for them. Also, wouldn't non tech oriented people go for the 360 or the Wii instead? Cheaper + better gameplay.

Eek no, the games get `re-hashed` for dvd, there is absolutely no need for the blu other than gimmick, so far.

Saying that, some1 will convert the blu movie to dvd... what`s the sense in that u may ask - a ha!
