Why not just bring the media out and make it easy for every1 ?
I have no words to describe how silly this seems.
It`s like having a USB port, but limiting it to u`r choice peripherals. "U" meaning universal ?

We're talking about $ony here fellas. Anyone remember Beta? That was a truely amazing media standard, 10x better than VHS, but what did $ony do? They horded it and wouldn't license the technology to anyone, which = $ony fail. Just like what will happen to BluRay, just watch, it's inevitable. This damn company doesn't learn from their mistakes, they just repeat them over and over again.

I think its hard enough for the poor teachers without worrying about porn in the classroom, can you just see kids with their PSPs watching their parents porn at school.
I think Sony already knows whats coming out in the near future and is trying to protect themselves from the lawsuits by parents/churches etc..

If a kid wants to watch porn then they'll do it. There's pretty much nothing that can stop em.
I know this as I work in an IT Department that has VERY VERY rigourous filters for the schools we support, yet the little buggers still manage to find porn

i know exactly what you mean, we cover about 43 schools, most of them primary, but about 13 are secondary and they are all buggers!! We have two filters, embc (east midlands broadband consortium) which is crap and our own custom isa server, they still manage to find a way sometimes. I swear i'm gonna break there legs soon.
