Is it just me who doesn't need his internet to appear in a nano second, but is happy to wait a tenth of a second for Firefox to start??

No ads and wait a tenth of a second, or ads and instant start.

I'll wait.

Chrome? Pah.

Exactley. All those extra features are wort waiting a second extra for. I mainly hibernate my computer when not in use anyway, so the same instance of Firefox is usually open for days at a time.

Chrome has an adblock extension based on easylist now too.

I use Chrome because it's fast and responsive, and the no-frills UI can be customised to just how I like. Firefox feels bloated and slow now in comparison.

It's not that it's a tiny bit faster, I have found that it is quite a bit faster. And I prefer things to not be cluttered or full of features. Chrome Plus just has some nice simple features that make browsing that much easier. Try and make firefox this simple! :P

I used Firefox for the past few years. I had some add-ons, but I didn't really care about them. I just like a nice, quick, reliable OS and Firefox used to fit my needs. After each update I somehow felt Firefox go slower and take longer to open (I tend to re-format my PC fairly regularly by the way). I decided to give Google Chrome a try and I've converted. I don't want to mess about with add-ons to make an OS work. I just want to install and go, no messing about. I suggest to all the people in this thread who love Firefox - Don't knock Chrome till you tried it!

And that is exactly why I love chrome, but get Chrome Plus!

No it doesn't, maybe because it doesn't have any addons. Becuase it doesn't need any. It's pure Google really.

NoScript is an essential addon, read what it does, it's awesome.

I've tried Chrome and I like it, but I do think NoScript is something Google should add support for.

I also like my gmail notifier :)

I've used Opera for a year or two now. It's brilliant: everything I could ask for in a browser.

I used to use firefox (back when that was the only alternative to IE I knew about), when it was in the 2.x versions. Ever since though, it has just got more and more bloated.

I tried chrome, but it was the most horrible thing I have ever used. Sure, it starts up quickly, but from there on in, it's just a horrid experience.

Safari, well, that's the mac version of IE as far as I'm concerned (although perhaps a version ahead).

Konqueror was my browser of choice on linux for a long time, but I have since moved to Opera on there too on my main linux install (I still use Konqueror on my other one, which I rarely use, as it came with it).

I have never tried Seamonkey.

fire fox cuase i got used to it and cba to try new browsers out i dont think it makes any differnce once started up

I use a few browsers but at the moment i use ie9 just because it's new and i like helping the computing world by finding bugs and reporting them so you don't have too XD

I mainly use Google Chrome but its been crashing a bit lately, Hope a update comes out soon. All so I run FlashBlock extension makes loading pages quicker, a lot of ads are flash so it blocks them, Flash can be very unstable at times and if i want to see the flash object i just click the play button.

I use Firefox when web editing with the firebug plugin.

I use IE when some thing isn't working in other browsers.
