Please Fix the Edit Function!

Fellow OC3Ders,
Ever since the software switch a month or two ago, I have lost the ability to edit posts. I can edit them for a couple minutes after posting, but all of my older posts are un-editable. This is really annoying for me because currently on my build log thread all of the pictures are down due to me organizing my photobucket, and I can't go in and edit the post to fix links. Is there anything being done about this?

I'm the same, I cannot edit the OP and thread title to remind people of any updates, i.e changing the date of the last update in the thread title. Its been ages since the, 'update' and none of the features that made OC3D good are here anymore. No wonder its getting REALLY quiet and full of idiots asking stupid questions.

As a self confessed SPAG nazi, as good grammar on its own is simply not good enough, it horrifies me when I notice mistakes made on earlier posts :(
Do remember, however, that we have just been through a transition with our administrators. The new guys shall still be getting themselves acquainted with the site.

i believe its in a stage to get re-activated. just a lot of other back-office needed to be
functionalized first.. i to am waiting for the "edit" function. dunna know if the older imported
OP or threads will have it, lets hope!

Well, not only am I one of the new idiots that asks stupid questions, but I'm also a notably inaccurate typist, and I often don't notice my mistakes until later..
An edit button would be a nioce tool for me to repair my mistakes.

This was changed initially because of some issues with spams and some other issues.

Ive made some subtle changes and we will see how things go.

ohh.. because I have a thread open in "case gallery" that I would love to update (it's pretty old) but I don't get the 'EDIT' function. Hmm..

its hard for me to telll (moderator functions are different). but most if not all
have edit capabilities on their own posts.. now when we shifted from the other
forum style, some of the posts are locked, due to improper HTML.
what would be a great idea, start another and link to the older post..
