Re: Vinyl wrap: Since it's your build of course you can use as much of it as you like. I would
count myself as belonging to the camp that would use it more sparingly, but that's more a
matter of taste and not of (rather good) craftsmanship I'd say.

hi everyone not touched this for a while so I thought a little update is needed
only on look's not on function
front started as this with led's on wasnt too keen on it

onlooking about this inspired me

had a play with sketchup

as i want all part the same it time to make a jig

and time for a table for the jigsaw

lets put the two together and see what we get

a bit of polishing later (used T-cut and car buffer)

now for the sides get the toy router out

all polished and wrapped on one side only

lets put it together see what we got

hope you like it I do got just what I wanted the blue on the edges will post night picture later when its dark if you like

Hm, I see your point. It would probably be more practical to scare them into a
straitjacket.

Oh, brute force, a true classic. I'm not really the hand-to-hand combat kinda guy (haven't
really had the time to actually learn something proper in that area), but hey I'm a decent
shot so there's always that option. Although I have to admit that I wouldn't exactly be
pleased at actually having to shoot an intruder; even if it was justified it still kicks loose an
enormous shitstorm, especially if the shooting was fatal. Strictly speaking you're not
allowed to have loaded guns around the house, so... (I actually don't though,
at the moment)

Still, the big problem would probably be that my dog would notice them first and I've
been told by the person who brought him up/knows him best that she considers it
likely he'll attack or at least threaten the intruder, in which case the intruder might be
tempted to harm the dog (he's about 40 kg, so when behaving aggressively can make
quite an impression). And that of course I could not let slide...

Luckily we have low crime here and live in the second floor (British convention, 3rd
floor American convention), so it's not very likely that somebody just climbs into our
apartment.

Damn, this is not a discussion I was expecting to have on a computer forum, sorry
for taking this so off-topic. :lol:
