PlayStation 5 Pro leak details Sony's PSSR AI upscaler

I just got mine but I knew the pro was coming but I expect if it's just a disc version then it'll be £600 plus hopefully the upscale will be for all models but tbh with single player games I'm OK with 4k 30fps depending on the style of the game, it'll definitely be powerful but I'm more than sure xbox won't be far behind tbh.

I think to really sell the pro to the masses it needs to be able to offer something more than fps kinda like our PCs with low med high settings consoles might start being a lot more like PCs in terms of requirements than just fps, like added effects quality or fog density etc.

So I think it'll be disappointing if its just fps for 8k tvs coming while not adding much than say higher 4k fps etc.

although I still find it odd to have a "pro" version of a gaming console.

I agree, surely the point of a console is consistency and knowing that you can get the same performance as anyone else across the lifecycle of the product (no need to "upgrade" so a game will work as advertised.)

Games will be developed for both. Guarantee it'll work regardless of system. The pro will either offer better graphics or more FPS. That's basically it.

Yeah, from the video by Moore's Law, it sounded very much like this. Sony are designing a refresh that allows for more performance with minimal effort from game developers.

None of you will regret it, I was surprised just how good gta v looked in 4k with the added effects they did for ps5 in some ways better than my heavily modded PC version, picked up a bunch of games starting ff16 later today once a parcel has arrived, will get rebirth next month.

I highly recommend an ethernet cable as without it the WiFi was meh.

I like the console thou and some decent games coming I soon filled up 2tb of storage looking to get a 2tb or 4tb around end of spring time.

Only thing I don't like is can only have one external nvme drive connected and seen at once, I debated putting the spare in the machine but it needs a 4.0 nvme and while I have a 2tb one in the PC I just don't feel like switching everything around atm.
