I got banned for stream sniping a couple of days ago on PUBG. Which is kind of funny as i didnt know a streamer was playing. what stream sniping was or have ever even used twitch in my life to watch or stream myself. I have appealed and complained. The funny thing is im not the only one. I know a couple of other people who have been banned for stream sniping by over zealous developers protecting the publicity they get from streamers.

TBH the simple answer to Steam sniping is to encourage Steamers to use a Steam delay.

I remember Starcraft 2 Streamers complaining about "stream sniping" and Blizzard simply saying that it is their own fault for streaming the game.

I honestly don't know what Streamers expect here, they are literally broadcasting their location for the world to see.

Exactly.Imagine playing moba games like DOTA without stream delay...and then complaining about the enemy team "stream sniping" you.They are just taking advantage of your stupidity.

You can get banned if the developers get a complaint because a streamer whines to them that you killed them during a stream- yes. I have written my third complaint now. Its total nonsense. I had a look on steam and im not the only one either it seems.
