Pioneer Europe today announces the availability of its new dynamic duo of DVD writers: the DVR-212 (beige-coloured bezel) and DVR-212BK (black-coloured bezel).

1. What`s this 4 devices from one cable ? Sounds mighty interesting

2. Does this mean they`ve broken the ATA66/100 speed for the drive mechanism ? Or is it merely an outline that `cos it`s SATA` speeds upto 1.5gbs are theoretically possible in times to come. If it`s the latter, it`s a bad piece of spin to promote them over IDE.
