looks great to me but a question why 2 more ssd's for storage??? just curious lol. but she should be one mean machine

#1 They are left over from a previous build. Will use them for games or a scratch disc.

#2 The samsungs are storage only. No need for blistering performance

#3 The cooler is quiet, great at cooling SB chips and doesn't foul the memory as it is so compact. Lokk at TTL's review on YouTube

I'd save yourself £30 by going for the P67 vs the Z68, after doing some reading I don't think its worth the additional cost, especially as your are using high end ssd's & a discrete gpu.

The stuff is bought and the MB is in the case lol. I'll u/load some pics in a bit. Cable management is my nemesis and i'm a bit ocd about it. pre psu usually takes me 2 hours and 50 cable ties lol.

Had problems with WD drives before whilst I have a home server with 8x samsumg 2tb f4s and they have never missed a beat in 24/7 operation for over a year. Stick to what you know and trust I guess.

Samsung have been bought out.

I personally went for a 2600K and a 580, but I went for an 850W. Are you OC'ing?

Noctua NH-D14 is a beast of a cooler, if you were overclocking, then that is a good choice.

For storage, WD Green's are easily the way to go, SSDs are unnecessary for storage. I can understand if you're worrying about loading times, but 2x SSDs is a huge waste.

You could easily cut out a few hundred pounds expenditure without losing any performance.

Seasonic 760w is gold rated and more than enough for 1 card. The 2x vertex 2s are old drives i had so there is no new expense and will be used as a scratch disc and a games depository (unless i need 2 scratch discs)

The trinity I used before on a friends build and it is an awesome cooler for what it is. I am not going mad on the oc. Prob aound the 4.5ghz mark. The Noctua would have fouled my ram and been problematic.

had 8gb bought another 8gb. All the parts listed are purchased / pre owned. I have started the build already. MB done and in the case. All case wires / fans etc cabled tied. Will upload some pics prior to adding psu / drives etc then some final pictures

Sounds good, look forward to the pics. I love Black hardware, for my build it went Blue and White but still

to give you an idea. popped in an n560gtx-ti to give you impression of grfx and will take some more pics once fathers day is over lol

I'm slack at remembering to upload changes / pictures but will do so over the weekend with my hardware revisions.

Now using an ASUS MATRIX GTX580 for graphics (change happened a few weeks after initial build) and will be installing the OCZ RevoDrive hybrid SSD -100 GB + 1 TB hard disk tomorrow. Will remove at least 2 of the other ssds at that point and use the remaining one(s) as a scratch disc(s)
