fatty dont you remember AMD announced that the enterprise opterons were switching to land grid arrays instead of the usual socket, but hte socket AM2 will still be the usual pin variety.

It's disappointing to see that the new IHS arrangement means it may not be as easy to remove shoudl you wish to go topless.

Perhaps using a pressed design will mean you wont have to?

I have heard horror stories of people using LGA spending a lot of time straightening pins on the motherbaord everytime a CPU is swapped out?

The quad SLI is a pipe dream for overclockers - how u gonna get waterblocks to fit? Dual DUO cards (with 2xGPU on single PCB) would be less prehibitive, providing water blocks manufacturers embraced the concept, AFAIK there are no blocks out for the current range of dual GPU cards.
