There is the Oppo Find 7a, which is sold out till kingdom come. Personally i am considering the S4 because 5.5" is too large anyways.
Not the fact its bigger than a G2 or a Nexus ^_^
I enjoy how you are still chasing your tail with this one! I'm glad this didn't happen to me, smashing my OneX+ meant I had to be a little more urgent and decisive. The G2 doesn't tick all of my personal boxes, it's not built well enough and a 32GB version would have been appreciated (wasn't available cheaply at the time). I still like it none the less and it certainly has enough bragging right credentials. The shocking camera fail of the HTC M8 was a real relief as I was actually partly waiting for that. Next time it will be a free phone for me

I am very undecided between getting the phone i want which ticks all the boxes (Z1 compact) and not wanting to pay 400+ euros because i am not going to use most of the features anyways.

Yeah, I just heard about that. Although I also heard they are pretty easy to get, like by being active on their forums and stupid things like that. Would require a bit of effort though.
To be honest, I think that's just for marketing to create scarcity. Now the phone will seem a LOT more popular.

I tend to the S4 over the Z1 atm. Even though it looks worse, is larger and has worse hardware, it's 100 euros cheaper. I need to get my priorities straight, paying more money for a phone than my GPU is worth is kinda wrong.

You don't smash your phone to get a chance... You apply, tell them your phone and destruction method and then if you get chosen that is when you smash your phone to get a guaranteed invite.
