typical,I go out and buy an intel quad and now they release these.....(I am an AMD fan at heart,but could not buy an early phenom due to the TLB bug so buying an INTEL hurt)

anyway hope these new chips show that AMD is getting its act together

Good. It`s just good-news, meaning nothing tremendous, but I`m sure these revisions will perform well and be viable options.

The numbering system that AMD & Intel use, I can only see leading to confusion in some ranks.

Something you may want to look into tho Tox, is it`s `rumored` that AMD are about to sack 10% or so of their staff, something viewed as a "good thing" for stock/shareholders.

Thing about the cuts, I have a similar `inclin` that the share-news people knew b4 the staff >.< Like a leak or something.

I've seen the Phenom 9750 for £143.34 at SCAN, as well as the 9850 black edition which weighs in at £157.45, but both are on pre-order. If those prices stay that low then I suppose for AM2 users at least that proves pretty good value.
