I always had this mad idea to do a direct die on a lappy,maybe i will one day too.

from what i remember about lappys you can not change many settings within the coms unless this has change now days, but if it is still the same and you can not change settings what would the point be of having a phase unit on a lappy?

Some lappy's can be clockgen'ed,or used to be able to,dunno about recent ones.

Did not know that, but i am going back some years now with an old compack 66mhz i had you could not do anything to that but just wait and wait for it to boot.
