Phase change n00b

Hi,

i've just joined this forum as i'm after some info on where i can get a reasonably price unit, was asking about it over at futuremark and "Animal" suggested that i take a look over here.

I've been overclocking and benching (on futuremark) since 3dmark2000, last year i upgraded from air to a pretty decent water cooling setup (alphacool xp bold A64, maze4 GPU, DD heatercore, D4 pump, WACC radiator/resivoir all on 1/2" barbs and tubing).

I feel i'm after somthing a bit cooler now, i was going to go for peltier cooling but i've heard that it can be quite expensive to run and not very efficient so i thought i'd go phase change instead although may still use a peltier on my GPU in time.

I've been looking on ebay and there is a bloke on there that sells chilly1 units, and mods and makes other units, i was going to take the plunge with one of those until i found out that he's not actually trained or well thought of it seems. So what i'd like to know if there is anywhere that i could get a unit for about 300 pounds, i'm not expecting a brand new unit and will probably end up getting a mach 2 off of ebay but i was recomended to come over here so i thought i'd give it a try.

for about that money, you`d be looking at either a VapoLS or a Mach2GT..but would have to be 2nd hand. Both are great coolers. The guy on Ebay is a big question mark...I doubt if any of us would buy from him unless we couldnt sopurce the separate parts for less.

If/when ya go for phase, theres tons of info in the ECT section guides, tips, advice etc. if you go for phase...you`ve come to the right place
