Phase change dilema...

Now that i've sold my w/c kit and i'm on my way to buying a Prometia Mach II GT, which one of the following should i purchase.

A)

2nd hand unit from ebay for £200

Will need to purchase £60 head kit

Will need to pay £25 collection/delivery charge

Comes with plexiglass side panel and UV blue CCFL inside

Total: £285

B)

Brand new unit for £400

Comes with correct head kit

Includes delivery fee

Has 1yr warrenty

Will have to pay for over 2 months

Total: £400 (wont get unit until balance is paid).

Damn I hate these dilemma's! Thats a toughie.

I'm always suss about ebay nowadays ever since I got ripped off for £180 on an ipod that never turned up!

I'd go for.......the....um......new one....1 Year warranty and that.

I saw that kit too, BTW...temptin aint it?

I'll be on the market for a phase change setup soon myself I think I'm gonna go with the Vapochill LS.

The only thing i will say in the ebay one's favor is that the guy is insisting that i collect it or arrange for it to be collected - so it is unlikely to be a scam.

yes the ebay one is unlikely to be a scam however do beware. it seems like a good deal, however i seriously recommend doing an "out of ebay" deal with him. or find a way to view it BEFORE paying any money.

however option b is a sure thing and it depends how you are when it comes to hassle. personally i cant deal with it and i wd rather spend more money for a sure thing that use ebay but this guy seems legit anyway.

but MAKE SURE U GET HIM TO JOIN :anisx: !!!!! he seems like the kind of guy who would be useful to the forums.

Agreed with Dave...ebay is good for cheap stuff and this guy seems ok....but I would rather have a nice warranty and at least some comeback from a decent company, thank-you!

if i were you id get the one from ebay (but no warranty tho -- hell if ya regas ur self it u loose the warrenty ne way) such a a hard decision id hate to e runnin @ such low speeds myself personally(for 2 months!!! - mayb geta a loan??--

Where's the collection from? If its not too far away then I'd say A...if its in Scotland or somewhere daft then get the new one. The warrenty is a nice thing to have, but nothing beats having it your hands

On a side note, if the guy is relativley close to one of us, then we could probably check it out for you...
