Phanteks show off their new Glacier CPU and GPU water blocks

Not the point, As i have said RGB on products just look plain stupid to me what is wrong with a LED strip.

Why have an external strip tho when it can be built into it? Or in addition? It's ok not to like or use them but RGB definitely seems to be the theme for 2016 from pretty much all manufacturers.

Cause external strips are better IMO as i have said i think LED when there built into like a GPU block CPU Block & Motherboards it just looks stupid to me.

Plus you can never really get it to match when there built into thins cause there going to be a different colour where the LED strip will match why buy a GPU or CPU block just to light up one item where you buy a LED strip and it will light everything up.

Must admit I do like the (XSPC??) Acrylic blocks when they're lit up with the white LEDs. RGB would just be the next logical step.
LED strips would just be another device to power and run and purchase. No reason why you can't do both. Or choose not to do either.

Choice is a good thing.

Not everyone has to share that opinion. Some people may prefer it for opposite reasons. Just like some people prefer wireless over wired. It's preference

That is why i said In My Opinion i'm not expecting people to agree with me, BTW it's a public forum i'm allow to express my opinion.

Why should i agree with everyone who likes the product that would turn me into a "Yes" man.

It seems like everytime i don't agree with everyone else i'm the one who get single out for not agreeing.

Seems like i have to like everything just cause everyone likes it, sorry that is not how it works

Come on guys, calm things down.. everyone is entitled to their own opinion as King of Old School said, no one is above anyone else.

I'm an advocate of plain white LED strips and subtle lighting, RGBs not so much. I can see why manufacturers have all jumped on the band wagon with RGBs and they do make sense when you're trying to cater to the masses, it's all about choice.

The flip side of the debate is, are manufacturers going just a tiny bit over the top.

Forum friendly remember that.

It makes sense. Everyone (including me) complained about all the motherboards and GPU's being only Red/Black. Then we complained that the LEDs didn't match our GeForce logos or the orange highlights on the mobo or whatever so now it's all about the RGB.

Now the matter of taste in implementation of aforesaid... yeah that's a different story.

Do you even know who Phanteks are?

They already make cases with LED/RGB LED built in. You can turn the LEDS off/make them white (which is what I'd do tbh) and if you buy the Phanteks blocks with a Phanteks case, they'll match in color too because unlike certain companies, they have a surprisingly good attention to detail.

I'm not a fan of putting RGB /lights in general on everything but at the end of the day its a good deal better to have a choice of colors rather than red.

Yes i do but i really don't like there cases i don't like LED built into products i would rather just use a LED strip.

That is why i like Fractal & Case Labs cases cause you don't get any of that stuff built into it.

I still don't understand why i'm not allow to have an OPINION.

You like them that's fine just don't go and try and change my opinion.

I will be interested to see the pricing point of the blocks and ofc variety of which graphics blocks they will make compared to EK, XSPC etc. As Wraith and barnsley said subtle white leds is ample really "I just have a white led strip in my case and 2 white leds in my CPU block in a Phanteks Enthoo Pro" but that's my opinion :).

Are the Manufacturers going OTT on RGB well if there is a market for it they will produce them, personally I don't want a "Roller Disco" in my rig ;).
