Phanteks release their Enthoo Pro chassis - does the H440 have some competition?

Phanteks just released their latest enclosure, the Enthoo Pro. A chassis designed to be the "Ultimate Water Cooling Solution", which is also very modding friendly that comes to the market for only $100.

Has the H440 got some real competition?

So what do I mean when I say modding friendly, well... unlike most cases it is constructed mostly out of screws rather than rivets, which allows us to much more easily paint or otherwise customize the case.

Within the Steel chassis, with a Brushed Plastic exterior (which looks like Brushed aluminium) there are many of what Phanteks calls "stealth features". These features come in the form of two Removable plates which will cover the HDD space and the PSU space which should make builds in this case seem much more clean.

On the water cooling side it supports up to a 420mm radiator on the top and a 240mm Radiator on either the bottom or front of the case. This case also provides a dedicated pump or reservoir mount, as shown in the picture below.

For cable management Phanteks has given us plenty of space to work, offering 27mm of space behind the motherboard tray so we can easily hide all of our cables. In this space there is also a fan controller and a dedicated 2.5" drive mount for those who wish to remove the 2x 3 Hard drive cages in favor of some water cooling components.

For $100 Phanteks might be onto a winner here, if 60mm thick rads can really be fitted onto the roof without motherboard considerations it might just be one of the best water cooling cases out there.

How well do you think it compared to NZXT's $40 more expensive H440? Please comment below.

I was all for the 450d but this has quickly swayed my mind after hardwarecanucks' review. Anyone else think the outside is like the baby of the 760t and 800d?

This is actually a really nice bit of kit, but I'd be lying if I said the raw aesthetic and clean frontplate of the H440 still doesn't have me won over. This is a very clever design, and yes, very mod friendly. But the H440 is simply a thing of beauty.

Got to agree the H440 looks better but that also reflects the price increase. I would probably end up with the H440 still in the end but on a budget this case is at a new level compared to other similar priced cases.

amazing case for the price but I wouldn't compare it to the h440 just because it has a PSU cover, the cases are very different and for different kinds of builds.

It looks ok, I like the look of the H440 more though. :)
Not sure why they put a cable routing hole on the PSU cover either, I don't see any use for it when you can run your cables out of the end of it so they remain hidden.

I had my heart set on the 450d but dammit that phanteks looks amazing! Pretty much sold after the hardware canucks review but hopefully some more video reviews will come up soon. A 45 minute waffling review (hint hint) to validate my decision :)

EDIT It's on pre-order at overclockers for £89.99!!!

My comparison is not due to the PSU cover, but due to the water cooling friendliness of the cases. For the ultimate in water cooling cases, there is now a choice to make.

I do agree with this, if was out the top of the PSU cover i wouldn't mind it but the side does ruin the look of it for me.

Phanteks are making some amazing cases. I'd say they're right up their with the big boys in 2014 so far. I hope the community rewards their efforts by buying these cases. I want to see more.

well yes, the phanteks case obviously wins there. the h440 isn't a great case to build a custom loop in
