PCIe 5.0, the feature you don't need... yet

With both the RTX 4090 and RX 7900 XTX lacking PCIe 5.0, what's the point in paying for it?

Gigabyte's B650M DS3H doesn't have any PCIe 5.0 support.

GPUs don't reach bandwidth for 4.0 so there's zero reason for it.

In addition the standard hasn't been out long enough to allow mass production to kick off. As evidenced by Silicon Motion (ssd controller maker) said we won't see any until 2024. Now not the same product categories but it's telling nonetheless considering it was ratified in 2019.
