I thought everyone with a PC was dirty pirate? Black Flag, Unity and Far Cry 4 were really solid games, they seemed to get called out quite a lot over performance issues that just weren't there, for me anyway. They feel well put together and flow nicely, very advanced graphics, would buy again.

they wont take pc seriously, because they managed to treat so many people like dirt and still managed to realize pc as the second best seller..
they will adopt a attitude of. We can keep doing these sh**** little port because they still buy them.
Obviously however if pc was the worst selling platform, they would adopt the attitude of Pc is no good to us so why bother.
its a pretty sad state of affairs really, and i dont like how gaming has turned out, hopefully in years to come the consoles will be less popular "wont sell many"
so they dont port from console to pc and instead port from pc to console..
Provided most people manage to be on a i5 2500k or better cpu, and anything from a 7870 or gtx 680 ish and above around about now. then all they really have to do is spend the money they would have done on a console on a GPU every time a new console is released, and they can keep gaming with the same library they had, and the newer games they buy.
(honestly i dont understand why they dont just make the pc game 1st then port them over to console with lower quality textures and resolutions. to me it seems like the logical thing to do.
Make the game for the best possible system. then just tone it down..

although i do have to wonder how much of the issue is the dev vs the publisher.

Quite interesting. Hopefully these big publishers will now cater towards the PC more, though I think it is more interesting that the xbone is left in the dust compared to ps4 and pc sales. This generation is becoming very one sided :o .

Sadly it's more likely that Ubisoft will see this as a vindication that PC gamers are happy to accept crippled half arsed games.

The 99% of people who bought Unity would disagree with you, I mean what you're saying is complete nonsense.

Black Flag wasn't bad and neither was Far Cry 4 but Unity was a complete train wreck, Even Ubisoft admitted it.

I didn't see any problems with it. My friend made me buy it at Insomnia as he got it for his birthday so we could play co-op together. So I found a cheap key, downloaded it, played it for what must have been 8 if not 12 hours straight together on a 290X and 780Ti with no problems whatsoever. Infact it looked really good on both and was fun to play together. Unlike Black Flag and FC4 I have yet to 100% it but unlocked the entire map and done much exploring. I wasn't going to include it in my OP but... I really have nothing negative to say about it.

Then you must have magic hardware because even people with 5960X's and Titan Black setups were having problems.

I played them on my less powerful rigs AMD and nVidia, they all seemed on par for games of that graphical caliber.

It was awful on my AMD rig. Far Cry 4 wasn't THAT bad but I definitely had some issues with Ass Cred.
