PC in room acts as heater!!!

The only way to combat this problem properly would be an air con unit im afraid.

Unless you make up some elaborate system the points all your exhaust air out the window

If the heat is being generated it doesn't matter how it's dissipated; if it goes back into the room you're going to feel it. The best way would be to not generate it in the first place by running at stock and using low power parts where possible.

I have the same problem; my room doesn't have much airflow. In the afternoon with the sun on this side of the house, it does get rather warm, a good couple degrees warmer than the rest of the house...

My computer room gets mass hot too, but then that's with 2 PC's running and sometimes my 360 as well :D

I just open all the windows :D

whemeber my cpmputer is off, my room is at 23 degs, whenever its on and idling, its 25, and whenever im gaming for hours and hours, 30+

Yup, my room is 80ºF (~26.6ºC) after a lot of gaming, but the hallway (even though the door is open) is about 72ºF.

Got the A/C pumpin' then, Kemp?

EDIT: NVM, you guys are getting out of Summer now then and beginning Autumn? Sure seems it with your temps! Just got the weather for Winchester, UK, seems nice there. We're just entering the harsh part of summer here, and already have had one or two 37-38ºC days :( Was only about 27ºC here today, though.

How about a tube from tumble dryer going out of window from exhaust vent?

I tried that, didn't do much thuogh... but that's only because most of the heat produced by my PC comes from the PSU.

I'm experiencing the same thing recently with my new system all clocked up... My Antec 900 boots all the hot air out rather efficiently it seems.. Could have cooked an egg on my chest last night in bed!

Indeed!!

Had both windows out and fan flat out again :p

Cant wait till i feel nice and toasty in winter ^^

Can some1 prove me wrong...If i had a faster airflow going into my case, that would be more air particles per say..1c of heat. So the heat would be shared out a lot more meaning the air would not feel as hot coming out of the case, yet still cooling efficiently (even more so). This would allow heat to dissipate a lot more in my room, giving more heat enough chance to escape out of my room via window or door, so i would feel the effect less

:)

My room used to get alot hotter with my AMD system but now with my C2D system it produces alot less heat so my room stays just right :)

I second that... bought an aircon unit for that purpose - those "water coolers" (where you fill it up with water/ice) won't do the trick.

edit: you could also go for a water cooling setup - stick the raditor outside your window, mount it on the wall - thats an idea actually.. let me look into it lol

I Feel your pain mrapoc i have my PC's (4 of Them) in one room 2.m x 2.4m

Only got one on ATM and its 28.6°c ine here I Got one 15" fan on floor blowing Up the window is open ALL Year round.

As soon as i can i'll be puttin them on the floor (laminate) as its 1°c cooler than on desk, thinking about puttin an Extractor in ceiling too.

Generally i put Puter against the outside Wall Mobo side near wall It helps as the walls are always cool.
