Payrise! W00t!

I am still waiting for my interview for my new uber job which would maketh me minted but just this morning the boss wanted to extend my contract so I squeezed a £3K payrise out of him :D

I'm kicking myself now though... Should have asked for more, damn it.

LOL - just as I wrote that I went over and asked for more, £4K.

He said that is quite a big jump, let me look at it...

So either way I'll have an extra £3/4K to play with... I smell a new rig brewing, what's that, phase? Oooh er misses :p

Thanks man, appreciate it :)

I've been raising my profile at work of late and it is nice to have some recognition!

Thanks Tox :)

What is my job exactly? How long have you got? Currently I'm in the Information Delivery team, Data Manager... TBH, I cba to explain lol, hit me up on msn if you really want to know :p

The new uber job is Programme and Asset Data Specialist, which would be a hefty payrise on-top of this. The interview is going to be hard-to-the-MF'ing-core!

I'm not sure if I'm getting the GX2, I've started to like the X2 again... I'll prob still get a GX2 on a whim lol.

Thanks Nick,

I just whacked together a business case on why I should infact receive closer to a £10K payrise and fired it to the boss, went over and asked him to take a look and get back to me.

It's hardball today baby.

Obviously they will reject it but the fact of the matter is, my case is watertight... They will have to up the ante, they need me.

In a team of 8, one (£50K) has left via promotion. Another guy (£30K) left the company leaving 6. A new guy has started in the £30K role but he doesn't really know whats going on. 2 are gas people, one of which rarely comes in. Another is only part time due to personal problems.

Effectively the team of 8 is a team of 4 day to day. Me being one of them. If I left, no one can really do what I do...

nice dude :D

is that stuff kinda what im learning about in information systems? more advanced ofc

gathering data and turning it into information etc.

Congrats on the payrise. :D It's £3K extra a month? I'm not really familiar with the english system when it comes to income. :P

I wish, an extra 3K a month would be amazing lol. It's just an extra 3K a year... I feel like I've been shafted. They won't budge...

Hehe, yeah, I kinda figured that out. :P I'd love an extra 3k a month, guess my mortgage would be paid in a jiffy. But one can only dream. :P But still, 3k extra a year is pretty awesome too. ;)

Best wishes with that m8.

hmmm gonna look at my finances, seems to be about that time of the year. Used to be around June, with backpay, in my old job. Still not used to working as I am tbh, and it`s been almost a year and a half. Chalk`n`cheese.

My interview seemed to go well, I just need to wait and see if a job offer is forth coming now.

Grats man, £9K extra is superb.

I'm still waiting for an interview for the new position that will give me at least an extra £5k over the £3K... Not liking the fact I haven't heard anything yet!

Well done all on the pay rises, just hope i can keep my pay level in a couple of years when i finish my current job. Reality is that i will probably have to take a pay cut.

Oh well, I didn't get the job :(, but the interviewer was very impressed with me.

I have now applied for another position so we will see what comes of it.
