Painting Ram Modules

So i got Corsair Dominator Platinum 4x4GB 2133 RAM in my system which is x79 system that iv got right now. So I was wondering have anyone painted the heatsinks of ram before because i want it to match with my white/black/grey build that im currently working on. I was thinking of spray painting the heatsinks but not the inside of a heatsink just an outside to match to my system.

Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

You should check out Project Marshlands: A Military Themed Build.. in the project builds that'll give you great hints on painting the ram shields.

I'm mostly worried about the waranty on the modules. I guess Corsair wouldn't be happy about it.

Warranty would most definitely be void the moment you disassemble them besides they sure as hell gonna notice if you RMA them a different colour lol. It's the price we pay for modding I suppose.

Already got that kit on my corsair Ram. I know i could paint it but what about those fins on top of a module hopefully corsair wouldn't mind a bit of white in there i hope :/

Probably a good idea to pop an email off to Corsair and see what they say, and keep any proof if they say yes.
