well, i was searching for my new sandy bridge building and a used gigabyte ud4 p67 b2 revision appears. the guy that is selling it doesn`t know if his motherboard is affected by the sata issue, and just in case he has reduced the price in 100 dollars. so, big oportunity here.

my question is, is there any way of knowing if the mobo has being affected by the sata issue without buying it?(maybe there is a list of models that were affected) and in the case it has been affected, is it very difficult to make intel replace it? what kind of documentation or papers are needed to get a b3 revision?(take into account i am in argentina)

any kind of help here would be apreciate, thanks

The model would be GA-P67A-UD4-B3 and it would say "B3 STEPPING" on the box like this.

I know Asus had a website that checked your product number and could then tell you if the board was defective.

As for recalls I believe that was done by the retailer so the seller would have to do that himself.
