P5wDH and Extreme Core2 CPU's

Hopefully a simple one for you guys.

Running the latest BIOS and several revisions before it I found that I no longer have the ability to adjust the multiplier on the X6800 upwards and that it's ceiling is x11.

I do recall at some point being able to fully adjust up to x16 - my questions really are:

1) Is this only available on older BIOS?

2) Where can I get the older BIOS?

3) Are there any modded BIOS out there?

4) Am I barking up the wrong tree and the solution is something else (feel free to expand if the answer is yes)

The new BIOS (for a lot of boards) have been changed to remove that particular luxery.

Gimme 20 an i`ll have a trawl for some older BIOS for ya

Well I managed to find 0901 BIOS - new challenge is booting BIOS.

So used to ezflash but it wont allow an older BIOS to overwqrite the newer one?

Just use normal AWD flash, don't think it checks for newer version etc. If it does there should be a switch you can add to disable it.

AFUDOS is I think the amibios equivalent of award flash - apparently though I have found I need an older version to the v2.22 I have now to back flash to an older BIOS.

Ironically - I have now cracked 400mhz fsb on the board and managed to tighten the ram up a bit - if I can squeeze 420mhz it means I can use a x9 multiplier on water and be happier still
