Overclocking question?

Ok so I have never done any kind of overclocking before but I own an overclocked system, it has an i5 3570k in and I want to go to an i7 3770k, My question is if I put the i7 straight on the mobo with the current OC settings on there would it work or do I have to start a new overclock from scratch?

You'll have to start from scratch with a fresh chip, as a rule you never copy and paste overclock settings as each chip is different.

Thanks for the answers guys, i've done a little research and from what I can see overclocking these chips is relatively easy anyway.
