And i also noticed that when i've raised cpu volts to 1.41 the occt test lasted longer. 15min instead of 5 (1.4), so maybe chip needs even more volts? It's seems kind of high for 3.8ghz though. BTW sorry for stealing your post Robbss...

You have to adjust the NB/HT and adjust their voltages accordingly. Try to stay near 2000Mhz or below 2600Mhz. The NB speed locks the HT link at a frequency equal to or below the frequency of the NB. Try raising the NB/HT Link to 2500MHz-ish and 1.35v

NB/HTL needs to be around 1.2GHz slower than the actual core clock on the phenom, also don't worry about putting the voltage above 1.4v on a phenom, they can handle it. Set the cpu voltage to 1.45V end increase the CPU/NB Voltage by 0.5V and see where you get. Remember you won't get as high an overclock with 4 sticks in as you would with 2 in most cases, if you can get 4.0Ghz stable then you have done very well

Hello again

I was working with my CPU some more and got it too 3.9GHz stable @ 1.44V, i forgot to change the HT though so i might try that and see if i can get it to run 4GHz

When i change the NB/HT settings it just goes all dead

it powers up, but it does not boot, as i have ASRock i've got a "Dr. Debug" LED screen which show which state its at, and its stuck at 0x00 (which is Unused, but its default state, meaning its doing nothing what so ever), to make it even bootable again i have to do a CMOS reset..

Anyone have any idea whats going on with that?

Got mine stable at 3.8ghz with vcore1.45 and cpu/nb 1.25. Left NB/HT at auto since im a newbie.

I am on 3.8ghz with multiplier at 19, did not even touch the vcore, its the silicon lottery, my hardware specs on my signature

I've got mine running rock solid @ 3.9GHz using:

200x19.5 @ 1.44V

HT@2200MHz @ 1.250V (I'm pretty sure

)

passes Prime95 12 hour run and have not had a single BSoD.

I'm pretty happy with the overclock, taking in relation i'm running 4 sticks of RAM

You should manually set vcore. It jumps sky high at auto.
