Overclocking on a 790FX-GD70

790FX-GD70 with an AMD Phenom II x4 955 processor and 8Gb of Corsair Dominator 1600Mhz memory. For some reason since i paired it up with another hard drive and updated all the drivers it has decided to refuse any overclocking. The memory only runs at 1066Mhz and even the slightest hint of adjusted settings results in a need to clear cmos. The Phenom ran stable at 3.6 before all this.

Have you tried setting the memory voltage in the bios? Think they run at 1.6v

To be honest no i haven't, i have been busy building a new cockpit for the flight sim. Just seems odd that it worked overclocked before and now decides to play up. I am passing it on to a friend and wanted it right before i did.

Sorted it!

Last time i flashed its bios was 2009, so running now at 3.7Ghz nice and cool on air.

I am passing it onto a friend but he doesn't really need it, so i might just chuck an 1100T in it and keep it for driving some more avionics displays on the simulator.
