Overclocking FX-60

He has an FX-60 so he can up his multi to 13 or 14 or whatever

Try sticking the FSB @ 200 and upping the multi to 15.

1.55v is ok on 939 with good cooling and ok temps

hehe, i already tried this but thanks again for ur input! i tried 14*207 with a HIGHER ram divider and i just broke 8000 on 3Dmark06 (i've been trying this for a bit) my 12*244 setup was good in the gfx tests because of the memory, but bad on the CPU tests. so i thought why not have both? :p anyway check this out /me is super happy :http://forum.overclock3d.net/showpost.php?p=132646&postcount=64

ima go OC my gfx cards a bit now :) i cant wait to see my scores after i upgrade gfx card :D

hehe, just got 8724 on 3dmark :) *goes to fiddle some more*

u mean decent as in average right? i know, i dont have volt mod or anything.

could you try 300x10

when your divider at at 1:2

so your ram is running at 150, just to see if your cpu could hit 3GHz?

will try 10*300 later :) here's my best: http://forum.overclock3d.net/showpost.php?p=132667&postcount=65

i'm only using this for benchmarking tho, as it's highly unstable.

even after setting my speeds back to 522/732 when ATiTool runs, i get this error:

any ideas? D: any help appreciated. is this a problem?

You can go all the way up to 1.5v dude, no wonder your not stable passed 3ghz. And with good cooling, you can go 1.55

One thing we've all forgotten about with the move to c2d. Check your Hypertransport multi. That may be stopping ya.

i could only find the HTT over-voltage, but will have another look :)

and kpz, what is LDT? :D expect me to ask alot of noob questions like this  i kinda just got into 'real' overclocking. or would real overclocking mean messing around with a conductive pen?:) anyway nvm that!

also, what does changing the HTT freq do exactly?

Memory is a little fuzzy, but HT is the speed that the chip communicates with the other components on the board. you need too keep it as close to 1000 as possible, and its your fsb x the ht multi.

LDT is the same thing as ht

well, cpuz tells me my HT Link is @ 1039, but i couldnt find the HT multi in the bios. will go search some more later. would it have any otrher names?

Hmm, I have the same board as you. It's been a while since I last went into my BIOS, but I know that it is in the 1st option on the Configuration page (I believe it is called CPU Configuration or something like that). On that page I think it's called HT Multiplier... can't quite remember though. Don't forget, you have a manual for a reason ;) I'll check after school if you haven't found it by then.
