Overclocking CPU on P67 motherboard?

From what I can gather, the only way to overcloock the CPU on most P67 motherboards is by overclock the turbo itself and not the CPU multiplier.

However after watching/reading the review on the Gigabyte P67A-UD7, Tom explains that u can overclock the CPU on this board by messing about with the multiplier. I'm not sure if this is a bios restriction on other boards or if Gigabyte has done something to this board in order to do this.

I'm currently torn between the Gigabyte P67A-UD7, Asus Maximus IV Extreme and the MSI Big Bang Marshal. Does anyone know how overclocking the CPU is done on these other boards?

You can now disable the turbo on all p67 boards, I had an MSI and I had a constant overclock

Choose the one that u phsically like the look of, but out of them 3 the vest performing will be the msi BBM

Most if not just about all P67 boards should allow you to change the multi to overclock. You have a to have a k series SandyBridge CPU though like a 2500k or a 2600k. If it's not a k series CPU, it won't allow overclocking, only turbo.
