Overclocking 3570k on stock cooler

So I decided I would do some overclocking today, unfortunetly I still don't have an aftermarket cooler :/ But I looked online and from what I could see people were getting their 3570k's up to 4.0ghz with max temps of about 70c, one guy even had his at 4.2ghz with 80c as the max

So I started off by putting the multiplier up to 40 and the core voltage down to 1.14v, The overclock is stable and went through prime 95 for 4 hours without any problems, How ever one problem is that after this the max temp it reached was a whopping 100c, Now I believe that Ivy's limit is 105c so surely getting to 100c is worrying.

So basically what I am wondering is if anyone has some advice for me or maybe any incling into why it is getting so hot?

Cheers guys, and have a good Christmas :)

Update : It must have been the cooler, I re-seated and re applied TIM and now after 3 hours of prime on the max heat setting the highest it has gotten on either of the cores is 71c :) Core Voltage is now 1.13 as well, I may even push for 4.2ghz and see how it goes
