Aye definitely, seems ridiculous that you can get a proper 8C/16T CPU for under £300 now, you can argue AMD did that with Bulldozer, but I don't like remembering disappointments

Yeah totally. The FX 8 only had 8 cores/clusters or whatever you wanted to call them so were only about as fast as Intel's 920 and etc when OC. Which isn't bad all things considered but yeah, certainly not in the same league as a 3930k for example.
Aye, I'm just referring to it as a disappointment with the way it didn't offer much of an improvement (if at all in some cases) over Phenom. Hence I don't like to refer to it
