Hi all,

First post on this forum so be gentle with me, lol

I have overclocked my amd 6400+black to 3500 at a temp of 40 and runs fine( i'm using an antec 900 case and a zalman cpu cooler, nice and cold) My question is why has the ac power symbol come on and is it anything to worry about. My psu is a bfg 800w and i have a funny feeling it's not enough, I hope I am wrong as Idont want to buy a new one as this is only 7 months old.

Any reply will be appreciated.

:wavey: Welcome to the forum and congratulations on making your first post :) Regarding your issue with the ac power icon coming up in your system tray, there is nothing to be worried about. I'd have a look in your Windows Power Options in the Control Panel and just make sure that Windows is running in 'High Performance' mode. Are you using XP or Vista btw?

Ah XP, well that stands to reason. In your Control Panel click Power Options > Power Schemes tab and then click the Power schemes drop-down list and select the power scheme that most closely matches how you use your computer. For you it would be Home/Office Desk.

Yeah, done that already, but thanks. Also I have dominator 1066 ram 2 gig but I cant get it to run at 1066 any ideas why? Also when overclocked to 3500.01mhz system runs fine but when I run Sandra burn in test I get a blue screen crash. I haven't overclocked the memory its on auto. Have I gone too for with the oc or do I need to fiddle about with the ram?
