remember, it is not just the cooler that will get you great temps, but also the case's ability to exhaust hot air out, and re-supply it with lovely cold air that matters
i don't have a 2600K, but i imagine you will see HUGE differences

it all depends on your chip mate, but i don't think you should go over 1.38v for 24/7 use
damn i was hoping 1.4v is safe for 24/7 i saw some intel chart that said 1.52v is safe but if you set it at 1.52v in the bios itd definitely spike higher
i think i hit 4.7 or 4.8Ghz @ 1.38v though

I'm getting around 33*c 4.5gh 1.35v idle and 55*C load. We are having a heatwave over here and it's about 30*C your temps seem about right though the 2600k runs slightly hotter than the 2500k.

Thats a very very good cooler you have just perchased there buddy, i have one on my 950 and i know it doesnt break a sweat underload at 4GHZ, 1.23 volts, im thinking of the 2600k with watercooling.

Still, after many weeks of thinking, I'm still unsure wether to get the Gigabyte UD4 or a Asus mobo
Maybe the Sabertooth.. or the Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z? They are all in the same price range. Leaning towards the UD4. Heard it overclocks better, and I'm not a very big fan of mATX. Will the Gene-z overclock better, or just look silly in my white fulltower phantom case? (going for the g.skill sniper ram. 2x4gb 1.25v, not going to oc them + you can't)

the asus boards have more features intel lan, bluetooth, etc.

I'm going to be getting that cooler for my build looking forward to pushing the OC to between 4.5 and 4.8GHZ
