Opinion on PSU

I was thinking of selling my NeoPower 480w and buying a OCZ Modtream 520w instead.

Reason for not buying the Powerstream is that I simply love the modular PSU's. I mean...they are fecking great.....really!! :)

I also love the look of the modstream and though 520w would perform a bt better than the NeoPower.

What do y'all think?:eh:

Maybe I should get a Powerstream??

Modstream:

Powerstream:

NeoPower:

like i said..if you want performance...get a powerstream. if you want looks then you might aswell stick with the neo.....get an audigy zs...and save for another 6800gt

I would ideally like that yeah....I can't get my PSU modding kit (ATX one) to work and I haven't got the energy to do it :(

What ya got in mind?? Anything? :p

may i ask what the hell is wrong with your current psu??

surely you should get an audigy like i said...

The AC Ryan is sleeved if that helps.

In the modular market, it goes like this IMO (performance wise):

AC Ryan=>Antec=>OCZ=>X-Connect

Looks wise, it goes like this:

X-Connect=>OCZ=>AC Ryan=>Antec

So basically it looks like I have the best choice really :(

How is the PCI-E connector with molex working out for you Jim?? The Antec has just a PCI-E cable dedicated :)

EDIT: Very tempted with that £160 PCP&C Sli model :eek: :worship:

It all works fine for me mate. I'm getting pretty much bang on voltages. I've never seen the 12v rail drop below 11.98 and the 3.3v rail stays at bang on 3.33v whenever i look at it!

Sweet!!

I will certainly consider this PSU stongly! Do you plus the PCI-E straight into the PSU or into another molex connector?

Would the PCP&C be worth my £160?? :eh:

Straight into PSU mate.

The UV cables are nice, but the reason i didnt go with an OCZ MS was because the cables are stiff and very hard to route or tidy. Especially in a large case, you have no chance of running them behind the motherboard or anything fancy like that.

I wouldnt fork £160 on PCP&C........if you want raw power and lots of untidy cables go for the OCZ Powerstream.

I'm feeling sticking to my Antec till I can afford to have two in my case.

Anyone know anything about having two PSU's in their case?

How does it work, what are the advantages/disadvantages and will it improve my Power??? :)

Also I may want SLi eventually, so maybe I should go for this shizzagle!! :D

Jim, never again in my presence rank Antec above OCZ for psu performance, lol... That's straight crazy talk my friend!!! :freak:

Dude, the Modstream's suck ass (bit overkill)...they don't use any of the Powerstreams internals.

The Powerstreams however :worship::worship::worship::worship::worship:
