I personally have never liked open office.

Microsoft Office 2003 is what I use these days, I find it a lot better, maybe I'm just used to it.

It's the one product with the name Microsoft on it that I think is actually good :p (I'm not biased at all. :p). Works fine under Linux too.

Shame about 2007...

I don't like it. I find it too gimicky and awquard use. I think they got it right with the 2003 version but that's jmo... sadly my college is upgrading to it soon enough...

And it does aswell as the 2003 version work fine under Linux (with Wine).

2007 is alot easier after the initial "sh!t, this is different" experiance. I've said it before that many of our customers (primary school teachers) find it easier and quicker than 2003 once they got used to it. No routing through menu's etc.

People best get used to it as windows 7 windows explorer will feature the ribbon bar.

I personaly like 2007, but I know some people are struggling with the different layout and menus etc. I sold and installed a new PC suite for a local charity a while ago with Office 2007 bundled with the new PC's. A couple of weeks later I got a call from the manager asking if I could 'revert' back to Office 2003 as most of their users were struggling to get to grips with it. They also had their training materials geared for Office 98, so they were woefully outdated. I had a chat with the manager and helped to draw up some new training materials and now they are feeling the Office 2007 love:D
