OolerTheInventor's Corsair Heaven

Hi all welcome to my build. I have tons of pictures for this build and I have pretty much taken pics of everything I did. I have a full build log posted on another forum and if you message me I will share the link with you. I love watching the YouTube vids and after seeing the white 600T review I decided to share my build with you guys.

First off here is what I found when I got home from work one evening.

OK guys don't make fun of this monitor.... my wife picked it out. She cannot handle the big monitors and this is our only computer.

Now that was just the first day of building.... I got it put together, re-installed Windows, and downloaded WoW. A few days later I had some more time to tidy it up a bit.

Oh goodie. What is the cost per metre/foot for the paracord versus high density sleeving from computer stores? Like you I thought about white and sky blue sleeving to pair up with the motherboard, nice to see how the colour combination works in real life.

Looking forward to the remaining posts.

So at this point everything was ok... then the rig started acting strange, I heard a pop and a fizzle then smelt the dreaded burnt electrical component smell. I tore everything apart and the VRM area of the mobo smelt like rotten eggs. Time to RMA a dead board. It kept the rig down for 3 days..... so I had some time to do more mods!

Here is the pile of stuff to work on.

While leak testing this H50 I guess there was a massive air bubble in the pump. It quit working!!!!

So I had to take it apart like all good boys do

After putting it back together and making sure the air was out of the pump....IT WORKS!!!

I got 200ft shipped to my door for $26 USD.... the shipping was about $7. So compared to the sleeving from computer stores....CHEAP

CHEAP. Yes it is. Thanks for the info OolerTheInventers, I will definitely keep them in mind for the future build.

How good does Mountain Dew perform as coolant?

+
What does that res do for the h70 performance compared to the stock setup?

H50* Its got more water to cool so the heat will dissipate better, I have a 120mm fan blowing directly onto the rez. My temps do not go above 30C on full load. But I have not OCed it at all. No clue how to do it properly and I don't want another fried board. I have read all sorts of tutorials on how to do it, but I can never seem to get anything above 3.8GHz stable at all.... and if I can't hit 4.0GHz then whats the point :0)
