A lot of Saitama's presence in the anime is for comic relief and his raw power allows the focus to shift more towards the monster or villain whenever he fights.

TBH, the fights with real stakes are the ones that other characters take part in. Season 1 is very good and it definitely worth watching. The animation is amazing.

It's very good! As WYP says the sheer power of Saitama is more comic relief than all about him winning all the time.

I found his cyborg buddy more comic relief. Seeing Saitama, a bungling clueless hero tripping through life with ease as his master.
