Ok,

I was running a HD 4870, well, that's dead now, and have a IceQ 7950 on its way to me on Friday. :D

So to make full use of the motherboard spec and 3570K, I figured I could still do some light gaiming in the mean time. heck if people can run COD4 on HD3000 and even Black Ops II on HD 2500, sure my i5 is no match for COD4.

However everytime I try to load anything I get a DirectX error, view the read me file...... (yea!? which one....lol)

DXDIAG - shows that I have DX11
Graphics Adapter (Device Manager) tells me that I'm uptodate
Driver Sweeper - All AMD

still nothing......

Am I being a noob here and missing something really simple? I cant get into BIOS.....everytime I press DEL to enter, the screen locks up.

EDIT:
I'll do a BIOS reset next time I restart this cursed machine

I forgot about that yea.......Windows 7 64bit Ultimate.

Also, from the desktop....
Right Click > Screen Resolution > Advanced Settings > Adapter TAB

Adapter Type = Standard VGA Graphics Adapter!?

Shouldn't this be something else?

Downloading that link file from directxupdate as microsoft.com's link will take 3+hours

Really dont remember what should be there when using Intel Graphics.
but to be sure install this aswell

INTEL VGA DRIVER

You know what.......

When I was building my PC, I viewed a lot of tutorials and such, and I made sure that I did all the motherboard drivers etc......

Annoyingly this is one that either 'got away' or failed to install properly.......

Anyway, my Graphics Adapter is now showing HD4000.

Thanks man......I can now play COD4 and stuff on shite graphics for the next 24hours.... :D
