I just bought and old optiplex. The main reason I wanted a cheap case with an enough cpu to turn it into a media center.
There's a big issue it keeps crashing!
The only way to stop this is by disabling one of the 2 cores. It only works with centos(linux) I wasnt able to install windows xp.
That's why I believe the problem is the cpu, but it is? Buying a second hand cpu will solve it? Or maybe is the mainboard.
