Ok what stepping X2 4800&mach 2

Ok ordered my x2 4800 today to put under my mach 2 gt,what stepping is not coldbugged or a good clocker.

As I've said to many people all ready, there is no stepping set in stone for the X2's I don't think. There isn't for any other chip either really, just some clocked better than others so they were hyped about.

It's the luck of the draw I'm afraid matey.

Ok m8,it should be here today and i`ll post the stepping on here to see if anybody on the forum has had luck with it,i know it`s a bit hit and miss but worth a try

x2 4800 has arrived the stepping is as follows

CCB2E 0536UPMW

FX 60

CCB2E 0536SPMW

Dang bet you any money this stepping is a crap one,looks more or less the same as the FX :/

B2 memory controllers, from my experience coldbug pretty badly, but apparently the bug is worse on Opteron versions. Your best bet is just to try- see what happens.

If ya try the FX60 with a x12 multiplier, bet they both clock around the same

Just to let people know - Just re-installed the MSI DIAMOND PLUS and although it's still on it's release BIOS I can boot into windows at 3.6Ghz (200x18) with just 1.65v

Dont really want to open them tbh Kenny as the shop will not take em back if i do.

Not got my mach from phil yet,got the cpu and Lian li kit this morning,i have the RMA for the FX so that can go back monday along with the x2 4800 :/

Would it be worth while to ask any shop that sells cpu`s what stepping they have in stock?
