I need to sell one or the other, I need good stock speeds and overclockability (ive never overclocked before) and a good warranty...some say the geil is the better product, some say the ocz, please do not take into account the pricing :)

My vote is for the GEIL. I have the same OCZ RAM (just not spec ops) and it's only a decent overclocking memory. I've heard better results can be had with the GEIL.

i tried the geil ddr800 cas 4, luckily i could send tham back...

the kit i received would run at stock speeds, but overclocking beyond say 50mhz was out of the question :(

My vote was for Geil because they had tighter timings. That is all I really had on my decision because everything else looked pretty much the same and they are both good companys. I guess it will just come down to your preference.

The RAM in my AMD rig is GEil. I find it ok, but I've never overclocked or used any other brand apart from generic RAM in my PentyIII.

Although a lot of others who use it say it's v.good as far as value RAM goes.

Go with Geil . Although they are underrated , they still come up with amazing stuff. Their Ultra Kits are really nice. Im using one in an AM2 Build and it rocks. From the timings , looks like it has Micron D9 chips in it.

Absolutely no contest OCZ, I have had all hell on getting a working set of Geil DDR2 6400 3 sets in all and then finally I sent them back to Taiwan and got a set back that works, that's about the worst testing before sending them out I have ever had, how can they test them before sending them out when so many are bad? I honestly thought I had lost the plot, I took 2 sets back to OcUK they tested them whilst I waited and both were DOA then the final set back to Geil who had the nerve to ask are they faulty or do they not overclock properly, after 30 mins of memtest I recieved an E mail that I would get a new set and in fairness they do work well up to over 900MHZ but I had driven 285 miles to and from OcUK then sent them to Taiwan in all taking 4 weeks to get a working set. For the money I could have bought the most expensive ram and it would have been cheaper.

But on the bright side whilst waiting I entered the Kingston competition on here and won a 2GB kit which looks to be great I can't wait until it arrives.

Anyway get OCZ you will be very unlucky if your not pleased to death with them, I have had 4 sets of OCZ and all of them have overclocked superbly.

I'll put £10 on them using the line: "OCUK forums are in no way related to the retail website"...

Well I'm proud to say that was my own doing, I spent some time writing replies to various things and Spie the owner deleted them and wouldn't answer my messages, he then put a block so I couldn't contact any of the Dons so I started a thread and asked publicly to be removed from the forum because I no longer wanted to be associated because of the way they edit posts, it's all one way with them and quite a lot of the members are up their backsides so I thought better to be out of it as there are MUCH better forums like this one for instance.
