OCZ to Launch 1TB PCIe Z-Drive SSD

so the 1TB will cost more then a WC i7 custom TTL case with a GTX 295... yeah great pricing scheme theve got there... although its a nice development within the SSD format lol and W3bbo wants his hands (and other body parts on that hardware)... :p

Didn't OCZ already have something similar? I believe they had 4*256GB in raid0 on PCI-e x1 or x4 in a white casing. Bit strange, replacing a unique product like that so fast.

Exciting that SSD's actually get decent storage.. but upsettign because its gonna cost about the same as a hosue haha. Cant wait til the prices start dropping to a more "affordable" level

Once prices fall to a decent rate (by decent I mean less than £1 per GB) then I will consider.

But I am not overly impressed because the actual technology has been around for years. I believe it was first developed in the 80s.

I will also miss the sound of an old fashioned harddisk... mmm could put me to sleep. :)
