Oculus warns users against using Nvidia's latest GPU drivers

Interesting. I have major crash issues with Elite Dangerous. I have a Rift all set up, but I don't use it to play ED, so I'm thinking these driver issues could be the root cause of my issues. Rolling back to that driver this evening!

From what I have been hearing the root cause is a DLL that is out of date or something weird. IDK if it's an Nvidia DLL or OR DLL. It's a security thing or something.

Just tried this. Not a single issue at all for me, and im using latest.

Maybe it depends on other hardware too.

What's your opinion on subnautica? looks promising but I don't see that many VR reviews

The game has many bugs, doesn't matter if vr or not.
I have lost 3 of the small subs to this displacement bug (ship ends up inside rocks).
Another one is the tracking, for example you have to start the biggest subs engines to get the thing going, you have to lineup the button with the headset and an icon appears with press "A" to start engine.
The alignment could be just to the side, or far away seams random.
It's been covered on the steam forums, with F2 being used to realign once in the game, it helps but isnt a cure.

Taking that into account, the game on vr is brilliant, I use it with an xbox one controller.
It's possible to use with keyboard\mouse however the gamepad makes for easier play.

It's visually stunning, as it's not a life like recreation being more of a cartoon style.

I've lost hours just swimming about exploring, or in one of the sea craft.

If you want to know anything specific please ask away. :)
