Seriously take it from some one who's tried it - don't.
Even with a DK2 the shortcomings are obvious. There's hardly anything worth more than five minutes of your time and anything that is is incredibly short in supply or costs a fortune (£40 for a bird over paris game).
I used my DK2 for about two weeks. I "ooo" and "ahhh"d a few times and that was it. It's been collecting dust for me ever since.
Not only that but Oculus could be in trouble with all of the lawsuits and etc going on. £400 is a massive risk, because if they tank it and the Oculus store goes you will be limited to Steam only. And gaming on a VR headset (unless it's Elite Dangerous) is horrible. The dash and cockpit of a car for example look fantastic. The road ahead and all of the graphics outside the car? it's like 640x480 all over again. It's so poor that I actually felt sick because it was so fuzzy and it gave me an immense headache after about an hour.
