OCing q9400(help needed)

I also use realtemp, but My motherboard doesn't support LLC - Im sure its not there, checked it again.. its just not there.

Also I have to reinstall my internet drivers and reboot every single time i reboot my PC, so i lowered my CPU clock down to 3.2ghz and it seems to be fine now.. but i would like to have it @ 3.4 or something..

what voltage were u using for 3.4, and are you using windows 7 by any chance? cause ive had the same problems with the nic drivers, go into device manager and disable it then enable it and that worked for me mate

I have windows 7 and XP, had the same problem with both of them, I used 1.325V, but cpuz is still showed 1.280V. Ive never seen it go above that.

Speedstep and C1E are both disabled, but I think I've discovered the problem.. I set my CPU voltage to 1.3625 and FSB to 425 so My CPU is at 3.4Ghz, booted into windows and started CPU-Z, which showed 1.320V instead of 1.3625. Then I started IntelBurnTest and Realtemp, to see how high would the temps go and I was amazed that my temps were under 40C, so I started CPUZ again and saw that my CPU voltage had dropped to 1.216V and as soon as I stopped the test it went back up to 1.320. So My voltages drop if I start stress my CPU. Does this mean that I cant even keep it stable @ 3.2 without LLC, because I even got crashes playing far cry 2 witch didn't even pass the loading screen. CPU was @ 3.2ghz and 1.325V.

ur temps are great but i dont get how ur voltage drops when ur stress testing it and how ur gettin such a massive amount of vdroop, LLC just cuts the amount of vdroop u get but it doesnt stop it totally, maybe u need a bios update what bios u running?

If I start stress testing, for a second my temps go up to 46, but then they go down again, because my CPU voltage drops I guess. Ill check the BIOS version later, but i don't think that updating BIOS is going to make a difference and allow me to use LLC or something...

it might not have it but certain bios's fix updates etc and u definately sure its not in ai tweaker? and bios updates do work my bios was needing updated cause the LLC wasnt working properly and after it was updated worked a dream

So I finally got the time to update my BIOS, Ive now got the latest version and everything is exactly the same: CPU voltage drops as soon as i start stress testing, No internet connection @ 3.4ghz unless i reinstall drivers and reboot and still No LLC option in BIOS. Has anyone had a problem similar to mine? and is it possible to fix it?

what OS are u using? i had big trouble's with win 7 a couple of times with net and sound drivers but ive not had it for a long time, maybe ur mobo doesnt support LLC, vdroop is common on mobo's mate i still suffer from it on a mobo thats got llc and clock over-charging

I have the internet problem on both windows 7 and XP.. So theres no way to make the voltages stable?

It still crashes on some games like Age Of Empires 2(<-LOL) and Audiosurf and Far Cry 2, but it runs games like DiRT2 and Crysis fine.

A friend told me that My PSUs 5V rail should never exceed 5V, because it might cause unstability, so I checked my voltages and saw that my 5V rail is at 5.51V. He has got an i7 920 @ 3.8ghz and his 5V rail is 4.95V. Could this be causing problems?
